A roofing company that's here after the storm trucks leave

We started because Surprise grew from 30,000 people to 175,000 in twenty-five years, its tile roofs are all reaching the underlayment milestone at once, and too many of them were being sold a new roof — or a 'free' one — by out-of-state crews that knock doors after every monsoon storm.

Surprise was a one-square-mile farm town of 30,848 people in 2000. By 2010 it was 117,517, by 2020 it was 143,148, and by 2025 it was 175,304 — one of the fastest-growing cities in the country for most of that time. Del Webb built Sun City Grand, the production builders filled in the Reems and Litchfield Road corridors, DMB built Marley Park, and Surprise Farms and Sierra Montana pushed out to the 303 and the White Tanks. Nearly every one of those houses got the same roof: concrete tile over felt underlayment. The tile is good for fifty years. The felt is good for fifteen to twenty-five under this sun, and in 2026 most of the city is inside that window.

Surprise Roofing Co. exists to handle that honestly. We're a locally operated roofing company — not a franchise, not a lead-gen call center — that books and manages roofing work across Surprise, Sun City, Sun City West, El Mirage, Peoria, Glendale, Goodyear, Buckeye and the rest of the West Valley. The crews that work through us hold Arizona Registrar of Contractors roofing licenses with bond and insurance, and the license number goes on your contract. We lift tiles and look at the felt before we quote anything, we photograph everything, and we build roofs for the place they're in: 111 days a year over 100 degrees, 105 mph design winds, monsoon microbursts and the occasional three-inch hailstorm.

What we stand on

Inspect first, then quote

We get on the roof, lift tiles at the eaves and valleys, check the attic, and show you the photos. A lot of the time the honest answer is a repair, or nothing — and we'd rather tell you that than sell you a lift-and-relay you don't need yet.

Keep your tile. Replace what actually failed.

A lift-and-relay with synthetic underlayment costs a third to half of a new tile roof and gives you the same result underneath. We recommend full replacement only when the tile itself is done. And we never overlay or re-felt in cheap felt; the roof should outlast the next owner.

Insurance done straight

Dated photos, a storm report, a line-item estimate and a walk-through with your adjuster. We build to the approved scope and never touch your deductible — A.R.S. 32-1158.02 makes that illegal, and it's the fastest way to tell a bad roofer from a good one.

Answer the phone — 24/7

Monsoon storms hit after dark. Call at 11 PM with water through the ceiling and someone answers, gets a tarp moving and comes back in daylight. Crews work Monday through Saturday and are off the roof by early afternoon in summer; inspections are usually scheduled within a day or two.
